Want a taste of the islands but can’t afford the vacation? These low carb Hawaiian style treats should do the trick! And it’s actually a lot easier than you think. Here’s how it’s done. Aloha!
1 pound Ahi tuna (loin cut)
1/4 cup chopped maui onion
4 tablespoons scallions finely chopped
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 heads lettuce
Whisk together all ingredients but wait to add in tuna. This will be your dressing. Right before serving combine dressing with ahi. Squeeze lime juice over top. Serve in lettuce cups and enjoy a guilt free low carb meal!
