Cinnamon Desserts For A Queen!

Cinnamon Desserts For A Queen!

I love coffee cake. But I hate playing the guessing game of buying it in the store because sometimes it’s a good one and sometimes .. eh not so much. Personally I like the perfect amount of sugar and ooey gooey – not too much and not too little. So yeah, basically I’m picky about coffee cake! That’s why I started making my own. I didn’t get it down right away, it took me a few tries. But eventually I nailed it! Here’s my recipe for what I personally believe to be the best cinnamon coffee cake ever.

What you’ll need:

1 cup butter, softened
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups sour cream
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:

Combine butter and 2 cups sugar in bowl until fluffy. Add eggs in eggs, beaten. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and sour cream and beat mixture until smooth.
Spoon a third of batter into a non stick / greased 10-in. baking cake pan. Combine cinnamon, nuts and the rest of the sugar; sprinkle a third over batter in pan. Repeat two more times to form 3 layers. Bake at 350° for about an hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan to a wire cooling rack.
